Heron Foods is recruiting a Despatch Administrator (Nights) to join our distribution centre team at Melton (HU14 3HJ), near Hull. - Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 days, two-week rolling rota
- Salary: £27,540 per annum
What You'll Be Doing
As a Nightshift Despatch Administrator, you'll support our overnight logistics operation, ensuring store orders are processed, dispatched, and delivered on time. Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating shop order processing and dispatch during night shifts
- Issuing loading tickets, dispatch notes, and allocating vehicles for delivery routes
- Resolving logistical issues such as delivery rerouting or vehicle maintenance problems
- Communicating with store teams about delivery times and order status
- Supporting loading and picking teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Using internal systems (including Excel and transport software) to keep operations running smoothly
This is a key role for someone who enjoys a structured environment, is comfortable with admin processes, and thrives on working as part of a night team.
