We are looking for a highly motivated, inquisitive problem-solver with the business acumen to challenge and improve business reporting and processes where appropriate, who can also develop insightful reports and BI dashboards for the business functions. This is an integral role within the business, responsible for helping to maintain, support and develop core software systems, with a key focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and other key business systems, and for contributing to the development and enhancement of the organisation's reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Excel, including PowerPivot and Jet Reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key point of contact for systems requirements and contribute to reporting projects, helping to plan and deliver work to meet deadlines.
- Work alongside BI Analysts to support the development and enhancement of reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Excel, including PowerPivot and Jet Reports.
- Support, maintain and help implement core software systems, with a key focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including involvement in implementation, configuration and roll-out activities, and other key business systems.
- Review business and system processes to continually drive efficiencies.
- Provide systems knowledge and information support to colleagues across the business.
- Work closely with the wider IT team, BI Analysts and Finance team to deliver joined-up reporting and systems solutions.
- Support Senior Managers and Directors in developing reports that improve data analysis and the efficiency of reporting timelines to meet commercial and operational requirements.
- Explore how emerging technologies, including AI, can be applied to improve reporting, systems and business processes, and help bring practical ideas to the business.
- Liaise with third-party service providers to explain requirements, identify and document solutions, and support system upgrades and improvement projects.
- Analyse, solve and correct issues in real time, providing effective problem resolution.
- Prepare and update training documentation, providing materials and guidance to support colleagues in their training and development.
