Purpose: Assisting the Estimating Team with compiling cost estimates.

Key

Responsibilities: Assess material, labour, and plant requirements.

Prepare correspondence to various parties for obtaining estimates.

Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain package estimates.

Review and assess tenders, ensuring all tender documents are received and correct.

Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.

Plan and organise work efficiently to meet project deadlines.

Work in accordance with company Integrated Management System standards.

Prepare relevant reports.

Update information as required.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training.

Represent and implement an excellent Public Relations and professional image of HBL to clients, design teams, the general public, and within HBL.

Undertake other tasks as and when required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION Job

Title: Estimating Assistant Maternity Cover Criteria

Essential: Good educational attainment, including minimum GCSE/equivalent in Mathematics & English.

At least one year of employment gained in accounts or a construction role.

Excellent IT skills and working experience on a range of IT packages.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines. xehkeey

Desirable: Minimum HND qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or another construction-related discipline.
