We are hiring a Digital Product Manager to join us on an 8-month Fixed Term Contract. You will lead and manage multiple digital platforms across Hero UK&I, owning the DE app global strategy and optimisation, overseeing digital product delivery, and ensuring long term technical health across all platforms, while managing day-to-day relationships with internal teams and external technical agencies.

Internally you will collaborate with the following teams: Marketing: Brand & Comms / Digital; International and Category Team; Sales Team; Finance Team; EComm team and Customer Care Team and external partnerships will be with our Agency partners – Technical, Digital & Creative.

Key Responsibilities
  • Digital Experience & Platform Leadership (circa 50% of your time)
    • Own the technical health of all the Hero UK&I digital platforms, ensuring performance, stability, scalability, security, and technical sustainability across the digital ecosystem. This includes four Hero UK&I websites, one app, and one CRM programme.
    • Own and lead the technical roadmap for the DE app and associated platforms, ensuring they are optimised, scalable, future-proofed and aligned to business objectives – both within the UK market and international markets.
    • Define and evolve UX/UI standards of all the Hero UK&I platforms, to deliver intuitive, engaging and high-performing user journeys.
    • Identify, assess and lead the implementation of new technologies and platform enhancements, building business cases for investment (including CAPEX where appropriate).
    • Own and lead customer insight across all Hero UK&I digital platforms, embedding community feedback and behavioural data into product, platform and content decisions.
    • Act as the key bridge between marketing, technology and external partners to ensure a joined-up delivery of key initiatives.
    • Own the GDPR compliance for all Hero UK&I digital channels, ensuring compliance with UK law.
  • DE CRM & App Member Lifecycle Management (circa 20% of your time)
    • Own the DE CRM and App member lifecycle strategy, driving acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention and re-engagement through data-led strategies.
    • Define and optimise segmentation, journeys and triggers to improve member experience and commercial performance.
    • Monitor and report on performance across the funnel, using insight to continuously improve effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with the Digital Team to deliver content that supports the member lifecycle strategy across all DE's digital channels.
  • Delivery, Governance & Stakeholder Management (circa 20% of your time)
    • Lead cross-functional delivery of digital and content initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.
    • Manage budgets, forecasts and supplier relationships related to platforms, content and CRM.
    • Set clear priorities, governance and ways of working to ensure focus, transparency and accountability.
    • Act as a senior stakeholder and advisor across the business on digital experience, engagement and member strategy.
  • Leadership & Continuous Improvement (circa 10% of your time)
    • Build a culture of innovation, customer-centricity and continuous improvement within the Hero UK&I digital and marketing ecosystem.
    • Stay informed on market trends, emerging technologies and best practices across digital channels, content and community.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, impact and customer value.

About You
  • Proven experience leading digital platforms, app experiences or customer-facing digital products, ideally within a marketing, CRM or engagement-led environment.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI, customer journeys and platform optimisation, with the ability to translate user needs and business goals into effective digital experiences.
  • Demonstrable experience in CRM management and/or App lifecycle management, and community or member engagement, including acquisition, retention and personalisation strategies.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with experience working cross-functionally and managing external partners or agencies.
  • Commercially minded, with experience managing budgets, building business cases and measuring performance and ROI.
  • Desirable: Experience within an FMCG or consumer brand environment, with an understanding of fast-paced, high-volume customer and campaign cycles.
  • Desirable: Experience in customer care.
  • Highly organised, proactive and curious.
  • Being clear on your priorities – focusing on the vital projects that will deliver for the business and are aligned to business strategy & execute with excellence.
