Job Description
At Hernshead Recruitment we specialise in Advanced Engineering, and we are looking for someone who wants to join us in growing our US recruitment team.
This is a sales focused desk where resilience, patience and drive are key. You will need to be comfortable with the challenges of building a market, but the rewards are significant with fees around four to five times higher than in the UK.
We are open to existing recruiters (with a background in Engineering Markets and looking to move to covering a US Desk) or ambitious graduates and career changers even if you have never worked in recruitment or sales before. If you are determined, motivated and keen to learn we will give you the training, support and platform to build a successful career.
This role would require US working hours (10am to 8pm Monday to Thursday and 10am to 3pm on Friday) and is focused on acing top engineering talent into high value US roles. You’ll be working alongside existing US and European focused recruiters to source, interview and manage candidates alongside identifying and winning clients.
Alongside an above average commission scheme, early Friday finish and professional qualifications you’ll also get high end dining experience, 2 holidays per year and time spent in the US.
Job responsibilities:
- Identifying and managing client relationships to include sales outeach and client meetings
- Building candidate pipelines and projects to identify key engineering talent
- Taking candidates to market
- Management of interview process
- Supporting clients with onboarding
Experience Required:
- A resilient and patient approach with the ability to handle a sales cycle
- Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
- Ambition and the drive to succeed in a competitive environment
- An interest in engineering technology or high impact industries
- Previous experience in recruitment or sales is welcome but not required
