Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble components according to technical drawings and specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete assembly tasks
- Assemble small sub-assemblies through to larger sections
- Fit bearings, taper lock pulleys, and gears
- Install and run pneumatic and hydraulic pipework
- Conduct quality checks to ensure completed work meets standards
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve fabrication issues
Skills & Experience:
- Fully time-served mechanical fitter/engineer
- Mechanical engineering qualification essential
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools for assembly and fabrication
- Experience using machine tools (advantageous)
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics
- Fabrication experience advantageous
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
