Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble components according to technical drawings and specifications
  • Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete assembly tasks
  • Assemble small sub-assemblies through to larger sections
  • Fit bearings, taper lock pulleys, and gears
  • Install and run pneumatic and hydraulic pipework
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure completed work meets standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve fabrication issues

Skills & Experience:

  • Fully time-served mechanical fitter/engineer
  • Mechanical engineering qualification essential
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools for assembly and fabrication
  • Experience using machine tools (advantageous)
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Fabrication experience advantageous
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment
  • Proven role model capable of setting high standards for colleagues
