From initial concept through to final delivery, you will be responsible for developing robust, compliant, and cost-effective electrical designs tailored to each client’s unique requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop detailed electrical systems for bespoke machinery and automation projects
- Produce circuit diagrams and electrical layouts using CAD software
- Ensure all designs meet relevant standards, safety requirements, and best practices
- Manage projects through the full lifecycle, from concept and design to implementation and delivery
- Interpret and qualify customer technical requirements to develop optimal solutions
- Provide technical support to customers via telephone and remote assistance
- Prepare clear and professional technical reports, documentation, and specifications
- Contribute to design for manufacture, cost efficiency, and standardisation initiatives
Experience required:
- HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
- 3–5 years’ experience in an electrical design engineering role
- Strong understanding of design for manufacture, cost control, and standardisation
- Proficiency with electrical CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical desirable)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
