An award-winning UK additive manufacturing company is looking for a Junior Additive Manufacturing Engineer to join its engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience across customer projects, production engineering, and process improvement, working with technologies including FDM, SLS, SLA, and MJF.
The Role: You will bridge customer requirements with manufacturing capability, supporting DFM, technical quoting, customer liaison and internal process engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Review customer files and provide DFM feedback
- Support quoting, material selection and application advice
- Act as a technical contact for customer projects
- Support production and NPI activities
- Develop internal standards and improve manufacturing processes
- Evaluate new materials, tooling and technologies
Experience Required:
- Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field
- Strong understanding of additive manufacturing processes
- CAD capability and manufacturability knowledge
- Experience in a production or AM bureau environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Automotive or defence experience advantageous
