Are you a hands-on Supplier Quality Engineer who thrives on improving supplier performance, ensuring flawless delivery, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain? A well-established, innovative manufacturing organisation is looking for a motivated professional to strengthen their busy Supply Chain team in Taunton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visiting suppliers to conduct audits and quality assessments
  • Validating and approving new suppliers
  • Processing purchase orders using the ERP system
  • Managing, investigating, and closing supplier non-conformances
  • Identifying and developing new supplier opportunities
  • Expediting deliveries to support production requirements
  • Liaising with suppliers and logistics providers to achieve the lowest total cost
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain

Skills & Experience Required:

  • HNC or equivalent qualification in a technical discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on ERP experience, with strong knowledge of warehouse, materials management, and planning functions
  • Proven experience with supplier scorecards and vendor management techniques
  • At least 3 years’ experience in continuous improvement
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (desirable)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification (desirable)
  • Internal Auditor certification (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
