An Electronics Engineer is required to play a key role in the development of advanced avionics and electrical systems for cutting-edge engineering programmes. Working as part of a highly collaborative team, this position offers the opportunity to take ownership of PCB and electronic designs from concept through to testing, manufacture, and support. The role would suit someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to contribute to innovative, high-reliability systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver PCB solutions from initial requirements through to manufacture and in-service support
- Produce high-quality schematics and layouts using Altium Designer
- Develop multi-layer analogue, digital, power, and mixed-signal boards
- Apply DFM, DFA, and DFT principles to improve manufacturability, reliability, and cost
- Support bring-up, debugging, verification, and validation of hardware
- Create test plans, procedures, and technical documentation
- Use laboratory equipment to investigate and resolve hardware issues
- Support compliance activities including EMC/EMI and CE/UKCA requirements
- Maintain design records, reviews, and engineering change control
Experience Required:
- Proven experience delivering production-ready PCB designs
- Strong knowledge of schematic capture, layout, manufacture, and test
- Experience in PCB bring-up, debugging, and hardware verification
- Good understanding of DFM, DFA, and DFT principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance
- Right to work in the UK
- Degree, HND, or equivalent engineering experience desirable
- Experience in aerospace, defence, or other high-reliability sectors desirable
