My client is a specialist in protection testing and low and high voltage systems, they pride themselves on their strong national reputation in the electrical engineering field.

They’re looking for a commissioning engineer to join their team who has experience in undertaking the following activities:

  • CT Analysis
  • Secondary Injection testing
  • Primary Injection testing
  • Functional testing on a wide range of substation equipment
  • Fault finding
  • SCADA testing
  • Production of comprehensive commissioning reports / plans, "as-built" drawings, and test dossiers for client handover.
  • Protection testing
  • Competent in using relay-specific software, e.g. PCM, S1, DIGSI
  • Battery Charger testing
  • Proficient with Omicron Test Equipment / Software
  • Proficient with Microsoft Software
  • CSCS/ECS card
  • Full UK Driving License

Desirable:

  • Experience on Network Rail Infrastructure holding a valid PTS
  • Deep understanding of IEC 61850 standard e.g. MMS, GOOSE, Sampled Values
  • Proficient in Instrument, Protection & Control
  • Transformer Testing
  • High and low voltage cable testing
  • Current Senior Authorised Person (SAP) or Authorised Person (AP) status.
  • Experience in the testing and commissioning of DC Traction Substations
