About this position
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong Electrical Engineering background to support projects at a leading manufacturing facility in Slough.
The successful candidate will have experience within the Food, FMCG, Manufacturing, or Automation sectors and be confident managing projects within a live production environment.
A strong understanding of Control Systems and proven experience working with electrical and automation systems is essential.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of electrical and automation projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors and subcontractors on-site.
- Act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Support installation, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Monitor project progress and resolve any technical or delivery issues.
- Provide technical input and support around Control Systems and automation.
- Ensure compliance with site health & safety standards.
Experience Required
- Electrical Engineering background with relevant qualifications.
- Previous Project Engineering experience within Food, FMCG, Manufacturing, or Automation environments.
- Strong understanding of Control Systems, with a good level of hands-on or project-based experience.
- Proven experience managing contractors on industrial sites.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience delivering electrical, controls, or automation projects.
- Good understanding of industrial electrical systems, Control Systems, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
