We are looking for an experienced Panel Wirer to build and wire electrical control and protection panels used in power and distribution transformer applications. The role involves interpreting schematics, carrying out high-quality panel assembly, and supporting factory testing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Wire and assemble LV control, protection, and marshalling panels for power and distribution transformers
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
- Install components such as relays, CT/VT circuits, terminal blocks, and control devices
- Carry out point-to-point wiring, crimping, looms, and trunking to high workmanship standards
- Support panel inspection, FAT, and quality checks
- Maintain a safe, tidy, and organised workshop environment
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Panel Wirer in an industrial or power engineering environment
- Experience with transformer control & protection panels is highly desirable
- Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Relevant electrical qualification or apprenticeship preferred
