Our client is an innovative organisation working in a highly specialist defence-related industry, delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions where precision, speed, and reliability are critical. They are now seeking a Production Engineer to take a central role in ensuring production plans are not just created — but successfully delivered. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll coordinate across Design, Procurement, CNC, Project Engineering teams and suppliers to keep projects running seamlessly from concept through to completion. This is a role for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys problem-solving, and can ensure clarity and momentum across multiple moving parts. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare, execute, and maintain production plans to ensure on-time project delivery * Act as the key communication link between departments, suppliers, and senior leadership * Monitor progress against milestones, escalating risks and removing bottlenecks quickly * Drive accountability across teams — ensuring actions are clear, tracked, and delivered * Champion continuous improvement in efficiency, collaboration, and workflow Experience Required: * Strong mechanical engineering background, with 5+ years in an engineering/manufacturing environment * Apprenticeship trained, ideally HNC/HND in Mechanical or Production Engineering (minimum ONC) * Skilled communicator, able to influence and align multiple teams and stakeholders * Experienced in fast-paced production settings, balancing priorities under tight deadlines * A proactive, driven problem-solver who thrives on delivering results Interested?
