Scope of the role
- As an Assistant Electrical Project Manager, you will support the delivery of HV projects (£5m - £50m) from site through to completion, working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team.
- This is a delivery-focused role with a strong electrical bias, ideal for someone who understands, or is looking to develop their understanding of, how substations and HV works are actually built and delivered on site.
- You will work alongside experienced Project Managers, Site Managers and Supervisors, gaining responsibility across key areas of project delivery. As your experience and capability develop, you will have a clear path towards taking greater ownership of projects and progressing into a Project Manager role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in leading HV infrastructure projects from mobilisation through to completion.
- Assist with delivering projects safely, on programme, and within budget.
- Support the Project Manager with the day-to-day management of project delivery.
- Monitor progress on site and highlight issues, risks and potential delays.
- Assist with coordinating project activities across different workstreams.
- Take responsibility for delegated areas of project delivery and ensure they are completed effectively.
- Support the delivery of substation and electrical installation works.
