My client is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of 66 kV and 132 kV electrical systems, with a strong focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The role will cover behindātheāmeter, low voltage, and high voltage battery applications, supporting projects from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop electrical designs for 66 kV and 132 kV systems, including primary and secondary plant.
- Produce electrical layouts, singleāline diagrams, schematics, and cable schedules for battery energy storage systems.
- Design and integrate LV, MV, and HV battery systems, including:
- Behindātheāmeter BESS
- Gridāscale BESS
- Hybrid renewable + storage systems
- Transformers
- Switchgear (LV, MV, HV)
- Protection systems
- Inverters and power conversion systems (PCS)
Required Skills & Experience
- Essential Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in electrical design at 66 kV and/or 132 kV.
- Strong experience with battery energy storage systems, including:
- Behindātheāmeter BESS
- LV and HV battery installations
