We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to support the maintenance, repair, and installation of automated machinery within a busy automotive manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
- Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations on production machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Replace and align mechanical components including bearings, gearboxes, motors, and conveyors.
- Support machinery upgrades and commissioning activities.
- Work safely in line with site procedures.
Experience Required:
- Mechanical fitting experience within automotive or manufacturing.
- Strong fault-finding skills on industrial machinery.
- Experience with conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Relevant mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
