My client is looking to recruit both Junior and Experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to their innovative team and contribute to exciting automotive projects. What they Offer: * Enhance your skills through ongoing internal training and work on a variety of challenging projects. * Join a team of skilled engineers dedicated to advancing your knowledge in tooling, jigs, fixtures, and automotive machinery. * Clear pathways for advancement in your design capabilities, reporting to experienced design managers. The Role: * Work closely with various departments to ensure project success. * Develop initial designs and make adjustments to existing machinery. * Generate comprehensive Bills of Materials for projects. * Present designs and discuss projects via Teams, video calls, and occasional site visits. Experience: * Experience in fixturing, tooling, or machinery design, preferably in an automotive context. * Able to smoothly integrate into our skilled team and contribute your expertise. * Familiarity with CAD software (CATIA V5 preferred, but training available for other platforms). Knowledge of NX and AutoCAD is a plus. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with team members and clients. Role and Responsibilities: * Work alongside seasoned design engineers to prepare engineering drawings for BIW tooling manufacturing. * Participate in both internal and external project meetings. * Leverage your knowledge of manufacturing techniques to enhance project outcomes. * Utilise Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) effectively. Personal Requirements: * Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. * At least 2 years for junior roles; 6+ years for experienced candidates in a design office environment
