Role Overview
Responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of UPS systems and associated power equipment across customer sites nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, service, and repair single/three-phase UPS systems.
- Carry out PPM, battery testing, load bank testing, and fault diagnostics.
- Perform site surveys, RAMS, and technical reporting.
- Provide onsite customer support and technical advice.
- Travel UK-wide with occasional overnight stays; participate in on-call rota.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working with UPS systems (APC, Riello, Eaton, Vertiv, etc.).
- Strong electrical engineering background; capable of reading electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of AC/DC systems, battery types, and power distribution.
- Competent with electrical test equipment.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical or equivalent.
- 17th/18th Edition (BS 7671).
- UPS manufacturer training.
