Hernshead Recruitment is a success story built on hard work and great people. Since 2019, we have grown into a £3.5m+ business focusing on Advanced Engineering. We are small enough that your work will be noticed every day, but successful enough to have a presence in the US and Europe. As we grow, our Directors need a right-hand person to help manage the "everything else." We are looking for a bright, organized graduate who wants to learn the ropes of business operations and executive support in a fast-paced but down-to-earth environment.
Responsibilities
- Organising the Directors: You will help manage diaries and travel, acting as a friendly gatekeeper. You will help them stay focused by filtering their inboxes and flagging what is truly urgent.
- Running the Twyford HQ: You will be the "go-to" person for the office. This includes managing suppliers, making sure the team has the tech they need, and ensuring our workspace stays professional and welcoming.
- Onboarding & Culture: You will help welcome new starters and take the lead on the fun stuff—organising our team socials, quarterly dinners, and our annual company trips.
- Community & Impact: We really care about our charity work. You will be the point person for our partnerships with Crisis and the Engineering Development Trust, helping us coordinate volunteer days and events.
Benefits
- A Stake in the Business: We offer a Share Scheme. If you stay and help us grow over the next 6 years, you will benefit from a defined exit plan (targeting a 5-figure sum on top of your salary).
- Culture: We call it "Relaxed Professional." We work hard, but we do not take ourselves too seriously.
- Work-Life Balance: Early Friday finishes, a supportive team, and a nice office in the heart of Twyford.
About You
- A Recent Graduate: You are looking for a role that offers more variety and responsibility than a standard entry-level job.
- Organised & Proactive: You are the type of person who labels things, plans ahead, and notices when a process could be done better.
- Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable with Outlook, Excel, and Word, and you pick up new software quickly.
- A People Person: You are professional but approachable, able to handle sensitive info with discretion and chat with everyone from the postman to a CEO.
