My client is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join its growing team. This role has been created to strengthen the business's estimating and quotations function.

  • The successful candidate will initially split their time between conducting site surveys and office-based estimating activities before transitioning into a more office-focused position as they become established within the role. Full training and support will be provided.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified professional looking to move away from hands-on installation work and develop a career in estimating, commercial support, and customer liaison.
Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating & Quotations
    • Conduct site surveys and gather technical information required for quotations.
    • Prepare accurate and timely quotations for maintenance, remedial, and small works projects.
    • Review customer requirements and specifications.
    • Assist with tender submissions and pricing activities.
    • Ensure quotations are issued promptly following site visits.
  • Service & Maintenance Support
    • Assist in scheduling maintenance activities and service visits.
    • Support the coordination of remedial works and project delivery.
    • Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and third-party contractors.
    • Maintain accurate records of quotations, surveys, and customer communications.
Candidate Requirements
  • Essential
    • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
    • Electrical industry experience with a sound understanding of electrical systems and installations.
    • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
    • Ability to interpret technical information and prepare accurate quotations.
    • Good communication and customer-facing skills.
    • Full UK driving licence.
    • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Desirable
    • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
    • Previous experience in an estimating, quotations, technical sales, service coordination, or back-office engineering role.
    • Experience working with CRM, estimating, or service management software.
