We are looking for a Hands-On Commissioning Engineer to support commissioning activities at AWE Burghfield. This site-based contract requires experience with low voltage electrical systems and instrumentation. DV clearance is preferred, but SC-cleared candidates will also be considered.
Job Responsibilities:
- Commission and test LV electrical systems and field instrumentation.
- Carry out loop checks, I/O checks, functional testing, and fault finding.
- Test and commission control valves, actuated valves, pressure transmitters, pressure switches, temperature sensors, flow meters, and level instruments.
- Verify calibration and operation of instrumentation.
- Complete commissioning documentation and support system handovers.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures.
Experience Required:
- Proven commissioning experience within nuclear, defence, process, or industrial environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with LV systems and instrumentation commissioning.
- Experience testing valves, pressure sensors/transmitters, temperature sensors, flow meters, and other field devices.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, loop drawings, and P&IDs.
