The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 Β£ per year.

We are looking for a Hands-On Commissioning Engineer to support commissioning activities at AWE Burghfield. This site-based contract requires experience with low voltage electrical systems and instrumentation. DV clearance is preferred, but SC-cleared candidates will also be considered.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Commission and test LV electrical systems and field instrumentation.
  • Carry out loop checks, I/O checks, functional testing, and fault finding.
  • Test and commission control valves, actuated valves, pressure transmitters, pressure switches, temperature sensors, flow meters, and level instruments.
  • Verify calibration and operation of instrumentation.
  • Complete commissioning documentation and support system handovers.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures.

Experience Required:

  • Proven commissioning experience within nuclear, defence, process, or industrial environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with LV systems and instrumentation commissioning.
  • Experience testing valves, pressure sensors/transmitters, temperature sensors, flow meters, and other field devices.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings, loop drawings, and P&IDs.
