About this Position We are currently looking for an experienced PLC Commissioning Engineer to support an automotive automation project. The role will focus on the commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of automated production equipment, with a strong requirement for Siemens Classic experience, particularly S7-300 and S7-400. This is a hands-on commissioning position suited to an engineer who is comfortable working on-site, fault finding under pressure and supporting the successful launch and ramp-up of production equipment. Job Responsibilities * Commissioning and testing Siemens PLC-controlled automated machinery. * Programming, modifying and troubleshooting Siemens S7-300 and S7-400 PLCs. * Working with Siemens Classic / STEP 7 (Simatic Manager). * PLC software debugging and fault finding during commissioning. * Supporting electrical and controls troubleshooting on automated production lines. * Working alongside electrical, controls and commissioning teams to resolve issues and keep the project on schedule. * Supporting machine integration, start-up and production ramp-up. * Identifying and resolving PLC, automation and control system faults. * Working safely and efficiently within a live automotive manufacturing environment. Experience Required * Strong hands-on experience as a PLC Commissioning Engineer / Controls Engineer. * Proven experience with Siemens Classic PLC systems. * Strong experience with S7-300 and S7-400 PLCs. * Good working knowledge of STEP 7 / Simatic Manager. * Previous experience commissioning automated machinery or production lines. * Automotive manufacturing experience is highly desirable. * Strong PLC fault-finding and troubleshooting skills. * Comfortable working on-site and dealing with commissioning issues under time pressure. * Able to work independently and as part of a wider commissioning team. * Strong understanding of electrical and industrial control systems
