My client is looking for a Vehicle Controls Engineer to contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of vehicle control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be involved in the development and integration of vehicle control software and electronic control systems, including:
- Developing and maintaining Simulink vehicle control models and supporting ECU migration activities
- Programming and configuring vehicle control systems using Curtis VCL
- Diagnosing vehicle faults and implementing effective fault-handling strategies
- Designing, implementing, and troubleshooting vehicle communication systems
- Working with electronic controller toolchains, including dSPACE MicroAutoBox platforms
- Supporting system testing, validation, and problem resolution activities
- Managing software releases, configuration control, and version management processes
- Developing and analysing models using MATLAB and Simulink
- Contributing to autonomous vehicle control strategies and system architecture
- Supporting the development of electric vehicle drive systems and control solutions
- Applying Design for Safety principles throughout the product lifecycle
Tools & Technologies
- Experience with some or all of the following is desirable:
- MATLAB
- Simulink
- Vector development tools
- New Eagle Raptor development tools
- dSPACE toolchains
- Vehicle communication networks and control systems
Experience Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline.
- Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable Experience:
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle architectures.
- Experience developing control systems for electric vehicles.
- Exposure to autonomous vehicle technologies and advanced mobility solutions.
