About this position

As an Engineering business having Engineers that can support a client through an entire project is key. This gives the continuity to the clients and sees you in a working environment with variety moving from programming, to project management, through to site visits.

Job Responsibilities:

Customer service work sees the engineer working with a variety of control systems, finding faults, and making changes as necessary. These include systems using Siemens, Mitsubishi, Schneider, Omron, and others. Employee will be exposed to the hardware and software side of these systems depending on the type of support.

As the control systems world is rapidly changing, you\’ll work to keep up with the latest in terms of both hardware and software, using the newest and best suited solutions for our and our customers\’ needs.

The Controls Engineer will join and build up the existing team of 10 and ideally will be someone who is passionate about engineering and who wants to get involved in a variety of projects and industries.

Experience Required:

The role requires an understanding of the project lifecycle from concept through to completion with some expertise in the following:

  1. Front End consultancy using your Automation Expertise.
  2. Control Engineering: Design, configuration of PLCs, SCADA, HMI, Testing and commissioning.
  3. Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens PLCs.
  4. Experience leading projects and working in a technical environment.
