How do you feel working with a global provider of industrial systems across the chemicals & metals industry? Working in such unique sectors will give you the chance to work on new technologies and systems only used in these areas.
The role will be based in Coventry where they’re growing their controls and wider engineering team due to winning new projects both in the UK and across Europe. As well as designing, programming and commissioning various PLCs, you will take on customer challenges as your own bringing together the right combination of science & engineering.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design of control system PLC and HMI software from scratch and making amendments/upgrades to existing system software, in line with technical specifications.
- Interpret client specifications and translate them to functional design specifications and develop robust and efficient system solutions.
- Create and develop standard software and graphical interface modules for all products and equipment.
Experience required:
- Designing electrical systems in an industrial/special purpose machinery environment.
- Competence in the use of Siemens TIA and Allen Bradley is essential. Other PLC platforms like Mitsubishi is a plus.
- Designing PLC/HMI control software.
- Must have working knowledge of proprietary network technologies (Profinet and Ethernet particularly) supported by the major PLC/HMI vendors.
