My client are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering high-voltage infrastructure projects. The role focuses on the commissioning of power system equipment across transmission and distribution substations, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality energisation of assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out commissioning activities on power transformers, switchgear (AIS/GIS), and associated substation equipment
  • Perform functional testing, protection relay testing, and system integration checks
  • Review and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and test documentation
  • Support fault finding, diagnostics, and resolution during commissioning phases
  • Liaise with project engineers, clients, and site teams to ensure smooth delivery
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements
  • Produce clear commissioning reports and handover documentation

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in commissioning high-voltage substations
