My client designs and manufactures electronic controls and systems and has a great depth of experience and focus in the Automotive, Defence, Industrial and Rail sectors.
They are looking for a Quality Manager to be responsible for Quality Control in respect to quality issues related to non-conforming products/processes, investigation into responsible care of arising nonconformity, and implementation of resulting corrective actions.
Responsibilities:- Day to Day Management of company Quality Department & Environmental Team in the implementation of the Business Management, Environmental Management and Sustainability System in compliance with IATF16949 & ISO14001
- Member of Senior Management team including generation of Management Report summary on a monthly basis using IATF compliant format
- Implementation of Company Audit Process
- Support of Company Product Realisation Process
- Continuous Improvements
- Good management & interpersonal skills, works as a team player but can also lead the teams. Make decisive decisions when required
- Good working knowledge of IATF16949 but as a minimum 5 years’ experience in ISO9001
- Good working knowledge of ISO14001, minimum 5 years’ experience
- External qualified Auditor in at least one of the above, preferable both
- VDA6.3 Process Audits experience. Minimum Internal but preferable Lead Auditor
- Experience of management and implementation of automotive requirements
- Experience of Core Tools ideally third or second part trained/qualified such as: APQP, Control Plan, PPAP, FMEA, etc.
- Experience in Problem solving & 8D generation/management
- Experience/understanding of Electronics (Design preferable but at least be able to identify components and read schematic) & SW/Firmware at least controls of, Injection molding/ Metal fabrication
- Use of electronic management systems
