About the Role
As Practice Manager, you will play a central role in the continued success of the practice. Working closely with our clinicians and support team, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensure regulatory compliance, drive business performance, and foster a positive, collaborative environment where both patients and team members thrive. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring excellent organisational skills, commercial awareness, and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire and support the practice team, promoting a positive, professional and high-performing culture.
- Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, ensuring efficient workflows and exceptional service delivery.
- Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, reporting, KPIs, revenue, and cost control.
- Recruit, induct, mentor and develop team members through regular reviews, coaching and ongoing training.
- Ensure full compliance with CQC standards, Health & Safety, GDPR, infection prevention protocols, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate patient records and oversee effective administrative systems.
- Manage stock levels, supplier relationships and equipment servicing to ensure uninterrupted clinical operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve patient experience, operational efficiency and business growth.
- Act as the main point of contact for patients, clinicians, suppliers and external organisations, resolving issues professionally and efficiently.
About You
We're looking for someone who is an experienced leader, an excellent communicator, and passionate about building successful teams. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Practice Manager, Deputy Practice Manager, or in a senior management role within healthcare or dentistry.
- Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop others.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities with strong attention to detail.
- A commercial mindset with experience managing budgets, KPIs and business performance.
- A thorough understanding of compliance, governance and patient-centred care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Experience using dental practice management software and Microsoft Office.
- A proactive, adaptable and solution-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
