An exciting field based trainer position has opened up reporting in to the National Training Manager for Hermès Perfumes and Beauty UK and Ireland.
The main objectives are to train and support Business Managers and their Brand Ambassadors in delivering exceptional Customer service through in depth product knowledge, sales skills and techniques across all counters nationwide. To ensure consistently best in class service standards, to develop and drive the fragrance and beauty business and meet productivity and service expectations, along with supporting with and delivering Training Seminars, In-store development sessions, and events participation alongside the National Training Manager.
This role will be based in the London office with approximately three to four days travel across the field each week.
Main Responsibilities :
The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Drive business for all POS to ensure consistent animation, events, and services.
  • Conduct regular counter visits to assess the teams\' product knowledge, proactivity, sales environment, addressing and supporting in the areas identified for improvement and development.
  • Embody and transmit the Brand values at all times
  • Support the National Training Manager to champion a proactive learning culture across the wider business
  • Coach the brand ambassadors on fragrance and beauty skills and product knowledge.
  • Identify opportunities for team development and further coaching, review and analyse impact of training sessions held.
  • Support with brand events such as pop ups and masterclasses across all aspects from event planning, execution/support, presentation and set up.
  • Be confident in delivering the highest standard of training and contributing to the efficient working of the Education department.
  • Strategize with the National Training Manager, Head of Retail and Regional Managers to develop, execute and review training action plans.
  • Support on projects as required, through content creation, virtual consultations etc.
  • Demonstrate an excellent understanding of the fragrance and beauty industry.
  • Create locally relevant content in the form of videos and product/selling tips for retailer e-learning platforms.
  • Manage travel and accommodation within budget and seek out the most cost effective options through advance planning.
  • Complete and submit expenses on a monthly basis.
Profile :
  • Proven experience of working in the fragrance and beauty, and skincare industry.
  • Beauty qualifications such as an NVQ levels 2/3 would be advantageous.
  • Proven success with coaching and developing others.
  • Confident in presenting to a range of stakeholders and experienced in working on PR and VIP Events.
  • Articulate, with excellent written and verbal skills (Fluent in English essential).
  • Great communication skills with both customers and colleagues, positive and enthusiastic at all times, with ability to work well both as part of a team and autonomously.
  • Highly motivated and committed with a proactive approach.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Flexible, with the ability to travel regularly in line with business needs.
  • Confident to manage time effectively creating a journey plan that will maximise the impact of each visit and create reports to detail the outcomes of each visit, including the impact.
  • Good working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
