Hermanos Colombian Coffee Roasters is a celebration of Colombian culture, craft, and community. We act as a bridge between Colombia's rich coffee traditions and London's modern specialty scene — working directly with the farmers who grow our coffee, not just buying from them. That commitment has earned us back-to-back recognition at the London Coffee Festival: Best Independent Coffee Shop 2025 and Best Multi‑Site Operator (10–50 locations) in both 2025 and 2026. With 10 coffee shops, an ecommerce store, and a wholesale business, we are now in an exciting growth phase — expanding our retail footprint across London, launching an international franchise model, and scaling production. This is a rare opportunity to shape the digital identity of a brand with genuine momentum.
As our Social Media & Digital Content Lead, you will be the visual storyteller behind Hermanos’ digital and retail presence. Your focus is simple: capturing the warmth, craft, and vibrant energy of our brand and sharing it with our growing community. This is a hands‑on content creation role — most of your time will be spent on the ground across our London shops, finding and telling the stories that make Hermanos iconic. Occasional UK travel may be required, but this role is predominantly London‑based.
What a Typical Week Looks Like
- Content & Social Media (approx. 70% of your time)
- Visiting our roastery and coffee shops to capture short‑form video and photography for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc. — think barista craft, origin stories, customer interactions and behind‑the‑scenes roastery moments.
- Editing and publishing content natively for each platform, staying ahead of trends, viral audio, and algorithm changes to keep our engagement sharp.
- Writing and designing our customer e‑newsletter (via Mailchimp or Klaviyo) — turning on‑the‑ground stories into engaging updates on new origins, events, and promotions.
- Managing daily engagement across all channels — replying to comments, sparking conversations, and nurturing the community we've built.
- Owning the content calendar, ensuring everything published is consistent with our visual guidelines and warm, knowledgeable tone of voice.
- Designing on‑brand in‑store materials consistent with our visual identity — posters, promotional signage, and point‑of‑sale assets — whenever we have a new launch, seasonal promotion, or campaign running across our shops.
- Influencer & Brand Collaborations (approx. 20% of your time)
- Pitching gifting and partnership opportunities with London‑based food, lifestyle, and cultural creators.
- Writing creative blogs for our website, and briefs for co‑marketing and digital PR campaigns that introduce Hermanos to new audiences.
- Curating user‑generated content (UGC) to amplify our community's love for the brand across owned channels.
- E‑commerce & Agency Support (approx. 10% of your time)
- Handling basic Shopify updates — adding new coffee profiles, launching promotions, and refreshing digital assets.
- Acting as point of contact for our external agency partners — supplying assets and monitoring campaign performance.
What You Bring
- 2–4 years of experience in social media and content creation for a lifestyle, food & beverage, hospitality, or DTC brand.
- Strong mobile videography and editing skills — confident with CapCut or similar apps, as well as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva or Figma.
- Commercial mindset — you understand that a great campaign should translate into targeted brand awareness, coffees sold, and customers through the door - not just likes.
- Comfortable with using Shopify for basic updates, hands‑on experience with an email platform such as Klaviyo or Mailchimp, and using the MS Office suite.
- A genuine interest in specialty coffee and the communities — in Colombia and the UK — that make it possible.
What Success Looks Like
- Execute the content calendar end‑to‑end with minimal direction, with a consistent posting cadence across all platforms.
- Grow our engaged community — measured by meaningful engagement, not just follower counts.
- Build a pipeline of active influencer and gifting relationships that generate regular UGC.
- Show an understanding of how content activity connects to commercial outcomes — footfall, online traffic and orders, and in‑store performance.
- Establish a consistent e‑newsletter cadence with measurable improvement in open and click‑through rates over time.
- Keep the Shopify storefront accurate, on‑brand, and up‑to‑date — new coffee profiles live on launch day, promotions reflected correctly, and assets refreshed in line with campaigns.
- Deliver in‑store design assets — posters, signage, and promotional materials — on time and to brand guidelines whenever campaigns require them.
The Perks
- Direct access to founders and leadership in a fast‑growing brand entering international markets.
- 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, your birthday off, and a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme.
- Unlimited free coffee drinks in‑store, plus a free bag of beans every month to take home.
- 30% off food in all our shops when you're not working, plus 10% off retail merchandise.
- A training budget to deepen both your digital marketing skills and specialty coffee expertise.
