We are looking for a reliable and skilled Hard Landscaper to join our landscaping team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and constructing outdoor landscape features including patios, paving, driveways, fencing, decking, retaining walls, and drainage systems. The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and delivering high-quality workmanship on residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install patios, pathways, block paving, kerbing, and driveways amongst other related tasks.
- Build retaining walls, steps, raised beds, and other hard landscape features.
- Install fencing, decking, and timber structures.
- Prepare groundworks including excavation, levelling, and foundations.
- Operate landscaping tools, machinery, and equipment safely.
- Lay concrete, stone, brick, slabs, and other construction materials.
- Read and follow site plans and project specifications.
- Ensure all work is completed to high standards and within deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members, contractors, and supervisors.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in hard landscaping, groundworks, construction, or a similar role.
- Good knowledge of paving, drainage, and landscaping techniques.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and small machinery.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Landscaping, Construction, or related trade (preferred but not essential).
- Health & Safety awareness.
Working Conditions
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Manual handling and physical labour required.
- Occasional early starts or overtime depending on project schedules.
