The Marble Workshop is recognised as one of the leading fabricators of solid stone surfaces in the UK. They are looking for a motivated and reliable Trainee Stone Mason to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career within the stone industry, working with quartz, granite, marble, porcelain, and other premium surfaces used in kitchen worktops, bathroom vanity tops, bar tops, and bespoke interior projects.
The successful candidate will receive full training in all aspects of stone fabrication, finishing, quality control, material handling, and installation preparation.
Key responsibilities
- Assist experienced stone masons in the manufacture of high-quality stone worktops and bespoke stone products.
- Learn how to safely cut, shape, polish, and finish quartz, granite, marble, and porcelain surfaces.
- Assist with edge profiling, polishing, and final finishing processes.
- Help prepare stone slabs and components for fabrication.
- Learn to read technical drawings, templates, and fabrication details.
- Inspect materials and finished work to ensure company quality standards are met.
- Prepare completed worktops for delivery and installation.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices at all times.

Training and development
