Salary: £8.41/hr rising to £8.71/hr after probation period

Hours: Part time/Full time/ Days and Night hours are available

Holmers House is a purpose built care home and has specially designed accommodation for older people living with dementia. It has 48 en-suite rooms, divided between its three self-contained units, each of which has its own living room and dining room. All three units have access to the home’s wheelchair accessible, landscaped gardens. Residents are supported by the staff to live as independently as their health conditions will allow and care is personalised to meet each person’s level of need.

Our staff team have built a warm and welcoming environment for residents and have all been trained by the Alzheimers’ Society to support people with varying levels of need.

Our ideal Care Assistant candidate will have:

  • Experience of supporting adults in a care setting or in the community.
  • An awareness and understanding of high quality home care.
  • Good communication skills, patience and flexibility.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and person-centred support.
  • A flexible working pattern and able to do shift work.

Experience is desirable, however, is not essential, as we offer full training for all of our Care Staff.

In return for your hard work, we offer our Care Assistants:

  • 22 days paid holiday per annum + bank holidays (pro rata) raising to 28 days + bank holidays
  • Ongoing training and progression opportunities
  • Thorough induction and regular support from all management and staff
  • The option to work towards qualifications in NVQ Health & Social Care level 2&3

Salary: £16,663.00 to £17,275.00 /year

Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (Preferred)
