Heritage Volkswagen Yeovil is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to support the Aftersales Manager in the efficient day-to-day operation of our Service workshop.
The Role
- You will oversee workshop workflow, allocate work to technicians, and monitor productivity to ensure all service and repair work meets Volkswagen quality standards.
- You’ll play a key role in maintaining efficiency, safety and outstanding customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate and control workshop jobs to maximise productivity
- Monitor job progress and communicate updates to the Service team
- Carry out quality checks and oversee final vehicle inspections
- Control labour, consumables and equipment usage
- Ensure compliance with Volkswagen, Health & Safety and warranty procedures
- Support the development and performance of workshop staff
- Maintain a clean, safe and professional workshop
About You
- Experience as a Technician or Service Advisor
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Customer-focused and IT literate
- Full UK driving licence
