Support and implement marketing and communication plans to meet the School’s strategic objectives and priorities, aligning with the wider University’s marketing and recruitment strategies.
The post-holder will develop sector-leading, inclusive content and activities to enhance the School’s profile, student recruitment, and reputation, in line with our Strategy 2025/26 ambitions.
As part of the Marketing team, the post-holder will report to the Marketing Manager and work closely across multiple schools, collaborating with staff and the wider MRAC team to deliver innovative marketing and communications, ensuring compliance with the University’s brand and relevant legislation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with the Marketing Manager to develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment and conversion campaigns, aligned with University and School strategies.
- Support the Marketing Manager in liaising with Schools to build relationships with academic and professional colleagues, including Deans and programme directors, to develop and drive activity.
- Create and share diverse marketing content to support brand and student recruitment campaigns across various platforms, ensuring content is timely, engaging, inclusive, and relevant. Regularly audit content to identify gaps and explore new dissemination methods.
- Develop and execute multi-channel campaigns to promote Schools and key programmes, meeting recruitment targets and KPIs. Coordinate with design and media agencies to deliver targeted campaigns across SEM, digital display, and direct marketing, using data for optimization.
- Report on marketing budgets and School activities monthly and post-campaign, ensuring value for money through ongoing reviews and analysis.
- Represent schools at recruitment events (online/offline), working with the Marketing Manager, Student Recruitment team, and academic staff to ensure high standards and effective outcomes within budget.
- Collaborate proactively with school contacts, Communications, and Alumni teams to facilitate information flow and media/PR opportunities across MRAC and the wider University.
- Work adaptively across various schools under the direction of the Marketing Manager, ensuring resource availability as needed.

Essential & Desirable Criteria
- Educated to at least SCQF level 7 or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience in planning and implementing marketing, communication, or recruitment projects with tangible results
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience creating and distributing content across multiple channels (web, social media, videos, print)
- Ability to develop creative briefs for various media
- Excellent written communication skills, attention to detail, and proof-reading abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder relationship management
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, pressured environment
- Experience managing and monitoring budgets
- Professional and proactive team contribution
- Marketing degree or professional qualification (e.g., CIM)
- Experience in Higher Education marketing
- Knowledge of the HE admissions recruitment cycle
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
