This role is part‑time – 20 hours per week. Usually working Monday‑Friday, 1 pm–5 pm.

Role Overview
Jump into a role where your passion for people and knack for savvy retail expertise shines. You’ll be pivotal in keeping our shop the go‑to spot on campus, helping every student find just what they’re looking for – from stationery, merchandise to the perfect snack for study breaks.
What You’ll Do
- Customer Service Star: Brighten our customers' days with your friendly greetings and your attention to customer care. Help find solutions that make shopping easy and fun.
- Stock Genius: Keep our shelves stocked and our displays looking sharp. You’ve got an eye for detail and know just how to make products irresistible.
- Sales Whiz: Handle the till like a pro, keep up with inventory like a boss, and jump on board with promotions that get everyone buzzing.

Activities
- Carry out general shop duties e.g. serving customers and dealing with customers enquiries, taking orders, cash handling and till operations.
- Ensure well stocked shelves and replenish as necessary, following Team Leaders instructions.
- Maintain a high standard of stock knowledge to assist customers.
- Assisting in the processing of deliveries and replenishment of stock on the shop floor as instructed by the Retail Team leaders.
- Dealing directly with those delivering goods in a professional manner.
- Supporting the implementation of shop promotions.
- Carrying out general cleaning duties and maintain hygiene standards in line with legislation and organisation policy.
Other Duties
- Take on other tasks or activities that are relevant for the role from time to time.
- Follow all HWUnion policies, procedures, and governing documents.
- Undertake personal and professional development as required to maintain appropriate knowledge and skills.
This role probably isn't best suited to an existing student, due to the hours and shifts required.
