Heriot-Watt University Malaysia is seeking a part-time Research Assistant for the SADI project on Continuous AI Processing. The role focuses on translating the architecture into a parameterisable VHDL implementation and benchmarking against traditional FPGA accelerators for onboard AI in small satellites.
The successful candidate will perform RTL/VHDL design, FPGA synthesis, hardware performance evaluation and simulations of quantised neural workloads, with emphasis on SAR ship detection.
