Key Responsibilities
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a range of consultancy, appointment, and commercial agreements
  • Support procurement processes across live architectural projects
  • Advise internal stakeholders on contractual terms, risk allocation, and delivery considerations
  • Manage professional indemnity insurance processes, including renewals and claims support
  • Maintain and improve contract management systems and documentation standards
  • Provide guidance on regulatory compliance, including professional standards and data protection
  • Support on intellectual property matters relating to design work
  • Assist with dispute resolution and coordination with external advisers where required
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure contracts align with delivery timelines and commercial objectives
  • Liaise with brokers, insurers, and external counsel on specialist matters
Key Requirements
  • Qualified solicitor, paralegal, or equivalent legal or commercial experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in a legal, contracts, or procurement-focused role
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts within a professional services, construction, or built environment context
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret and explain contractual terms clearly
  • Confident engaging with stakeholders across different functions
  • Commercially aware, with a practical and solutions-focused approach
Desirable:
  • Familiarity with construction or consultancy appointments
  • Exposure to professional indemnity insurance processes
  • Understanding of data protection or intellectual property considerations
