Interim Legal Operations & Workflow Implementation Lead (Contract)

I'm looking for an experienced Legal Operations & Workflow Implementation Lead to support the implementation and optimisation of key legal, privacy, and compliance systems across a fast-growing tech business. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can not only manage implementation projects but also actively build, configure, and operationalise workflows within legal technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Operations & Systems Implementation
- Lead the implementation and optimisation of Streamline as the central intake, workflow, and reporting platform for Legal, Privacy, and Compliance.
- Support the implementation and integration of Juro as the organisation's contract management solution.
- Define and establish clear ownership between Streamline and Juro, ensuring seamless workflow integration and data consistency.
- Design and implement integrations with key business systems including Gmail, Slack, Airtable, Jira, OneTrust, CRM platforms, ServiceNow, and other operational tools.
- Workflow Design & Automation
- Build and optimise workflows covering:
- Legal intake and triage
- Privacy intake processes
- DPIA and LIA triggering mechanisms
- Contract requests and approvals
- RFP reviews
- Escalation pathways
- Regulatory change management
- Procurement and risk assessment processes
- Reporting and governance workflows
- Operationalise Streamline as a privacy risk management platform.
- Design and implement risk identification, assessment, remediation, ownership, escalation, and reporting workflows.
- Support implementation of risk assessment processes for new initiatives, products, and procurement activities.
- Build a Regulatory Change Management (RCM) framework, including:
- Regulatory intake
- Obligation tracking
- Impact assessments
- Ownership allocation
- Evidence collection
- Executive reporting and regulatory readiness dashboards
- Design and implement the Legal Data & Reporting Architecture within Streamline.
- Develop reporting taxonomies, work categorisation frameworks, executive dashboards, and management reporting.
- Create a single source of truth for Legal, Privacy, and Compliance activities across the business.
- Act as a point of contact for general legal operations and workflow-related queries from business stakeholders.
- Work closely with Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Procurement, and Technology teams to drive adoption and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience implementing legal operations, privacy, compliance, or workflow management platforms.
- Strong hands-on configuration and workflow-building experience within legal technology tools.
- Experience integrating multiple business systems and designing scalable operational processes.
- Understanding of legal intake, contract lifecycle management, privacy compliance, risk management, and regulatory governance.
- Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment and engaging with senior stakeholders.
