We are currently working with a natural resources business on the appointment of a Legal Counsel to join its London-based legal team. This is a great opportunity for a French speaking, junior lawyer (circa 1–3 PQE) to join a high-performing legal function and work directly alongside an experienced General Counsel on a genuinely broad range of matters. The business is entering an exciting phase of growth and is looking to add legal resource to support an increasingly diverse workload across the organisation.

The role will offer exposure to:

  • Commercial contracts and procurement matters
  • Corporate and M&A activity
  • Governance and company secretarial work
  • Compliance and regulatory matters
  • ESG and sustainability initiatives
  • Stakeholder and community issues
  • Day-to-day legal support to senior management and the wider business

This is not a role where you will be siloed into one area of law. Instead, you will gain hands-on exposure to the full spectrum of issues that arise within an international business operating in a dynamic and evolving sector. The successful candidate will be commercially minded, proactive and keen to develop within a broad in-house role. Candidates from either private practice or in-house backgrounds will be considered, provided they can demonstrate strong commercial judgement, adaptability and a genuine interest in working closely with the business.

Location: Central London (hybrid working)

Level: Circa 1–3 PQE

Salary: Competitive base salary plus strong bonus potential
