We’re partnering with a major UK infrastructure organisation on the appointment of an Employment Solicitor to join its established in-house legal team. This is a particularly interesting opportunity for an employment lawyer looking to move closer to the strategic and operational heart of a large, complex business. The role offers high levels of stakeholder exposure and the chance to work across a broad mix of contentious, advisory and organisational change matters.

You’ll work closely with senior HR and business stakeholders on a wide range of employment issues including employee relations, investigations, restructuring projects, tribunal matters and wider people-risk strategy. The environment is collaborative, commercially minded and highly pragmatic in approach. The legal team itself has strong visibility internally and is viewed as a genuine business partner across the organisation.

The ideal profile is likely to include:

  • E&W (or equivalent) qualified solicitor with c.6–8 years’ PQE+
  • Strong employment law grounding from either private practice or in-house
  • Experience supporting large or operationally complex organisations
  • Pragmatic communication style and confidence dealing with senior stakeholders
  • Interest in infrastructure, utilities or regulated sectors helpful but not essential
