We are currently working on a Senior Legal Counsel opportunity with a rapidly growing infrastructure business operating across a number of complex, capital-intensive projects in the UK and overseas. This is a broad and highly visible role within a well-regarded legal team, offering significant autonomy and direct exposure to senior stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and negotiating NEC, FIDIC, JCT and bespoke construction agreements
  • Advising on major project delivery, procurement and contract management matters
  • Supporting tender processes, variations, claims and contractual risk issues
  • Advising on a range of commercial, regulatory and operational matters
  • Working closely with project, commercial, procurement and finance teams throughout the project lifecycle

Candidates should ideally have:

  • 5-7 PQE
  • Strong non-contentious construction experience gained in private practice and/or industry
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
  • Sound commercial judgement and a pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Experience advising on large-scale infrastructure, energy or engineering projects
