A fast-growing business operating in the electric vehicle infrastructure sector is looking for a Real Estate Lawyer to support the continued expansion of its network across Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious company at the heart of the UK’s transition to cleaner transport.

The role

You will manage a varied pipeline of property transactions involving numerous sites. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Negotiating and completing leases, licences, wayleaves and other property agreements
  • Supporting the acquisition and development of new sites
  • Reviewing title documentation and advising on property risks
  • Managing transactions from initial instruction through to completion
  • Working closely with landlords, landowners, external solicitors and internal stakeholders
  • Providing pragmatic and commercially focused advice to the business
  • Helping to improve processes and documentation as the Scottish portfolio grows

About you

You will be a Scottish-qualified lawyer with strong commercial real estate experience gained within private practice, in-house or a combination of both. You should be comfortable running transactions independently and managing a steady pipeline of matters. Experience within energy, infrastructure, renewables, development or utilities would be helpful, although it is not essential. The role would suit someone who is commercially minded, proactive and comfortable working remotely while remaining closely connected to the wider business.

Working arrangements

The position will be predominantly remote, with occasional travel for meetings and regular contact with the General Counsel. The preference is for someone to work three days per week, but applications from candidates seeking four or five days will also be welcomed.

Why join?

You will join an ambitious and growing business within a rapidly developing sector, taking ownership of meaningful transactions that directly support the expansion of the UK’s EV charging infrastructure.
