A global telecommunications and connectivity business is seeking a senior commercial lawyer to join its legal team at Director level. With operations spanning multiple international markets, the organisation is recognised for driving innovation across digital infrastructure, connectivity, and next-generation technology solutions. Despite its global scale, the business offers a fast-paced, agile environment with a genuine start-up feel, where legal plays a key strategic role in supporting commercial growth and transformation initiatives.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer with strong telecommunications sector expertise to take on a highly visible leadership role within a dynamic and evolving business. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior commercial stakeholders on complex strategic transactions, large-scale customer agreements, and business-critical projects across the organisation.

  • Leading on the negotiation and drafting of complex commercial agreements within the telecommunications and technology space
  • Advising senior stakeholders on legal and commercial risk across strategic projects and transactions
  • Supporting major customer, supplier, infrastructure, and partnership agreements
  • Providing pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice across multiple business functions
  • Assisting with the development of legal strategy, governance, and risk management frameworks
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with commercial, procurement, regulatory, product, and operational teams
  • Managing external counsel where appropriate and supporting junior members of the legal function

Significant commercial contracts experience within the telecommunications sector, with demonstrable exposure to MVNO business models and wholesale mobile arrangements. Experience negotiating and advising on MVNO, MNO, roaming, interconnect, wholesale connectivity, network services and technology agreements. Strong understanding of the commercial and regulatory framework underpinning mobile telecommunications services. Experience gained within a leading law firm and/or a sophisticated in-house legal team, ideally supporting telecoms operators, MVNOs, connectivity providers or related technology businesses. Strong understanding of technology, digital infrastructure and complex commercial arrangements. Commercially astute with the ability to balance legal risk against business objectives and operate effectively at senior stakeholder level. Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

20–25% bonus + Equity ~£8,000 car allowance ~ Broad strategic exposure and involvement in high-profile commercial projects.
