We’re working with a fast-growing, publicly listed fintech on a mission to make pensions simple and accessible. With over £5bn in assets and 260,000+ customers, the business is scaling internationally and building a modern, tech-enabled approach to retirement saving. The legal team plays a central role in enabling that growth.
The opportunity
This is a senior role within a lean, high-performing legal team, reporting directly to the General Counsel. You’ll act as a key advisor across the business, with real exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to shape how legal supports a scaling, regulated business. This role will particularly suit someone who enjoys hands-on involvement, ownership, and working close to the commercial side of a business.
- Leading on UK pensions regulatory matters, including ongoing compliance and policy development
- Advising on complex pensions-related customer issues (e.g. death benefits, complaints, ombudsman processes)
- Supporting pensions and consumer litigation matters
- Working closely with Compliance, Risk and Operations teams on regulatory frameworks and customer outcomes
- Advising on broader commercial and governance matters as needed
- Supporting the development of scalable legal processes and infrastructure
What we’re looking for
- UK qualified solicitor with strong post-qualification experience
- Meaningful experience in UK pensions law (essential)
- Experience within DC pensions and/or consumer financial services
- Familiarity with FCA regulation, and ideally DWP and/or TPR exposure
- Strong grounding in consumer protection and regulatory frameworks
