I’m working with a large UK-based business to hire an Employment Lawyer on a 6-12 month FTC. This is a standalone employment role, sitting close to senior stakeholders and offering real autonomy and breadth.

You’ll cover both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including:

  • Advisory support on day-to-day employment issues
  • Managing and overseeing litigation
  • Supporting periodic restructures
  • Horizon scanning and employment risk management
  • Working closely with senior leaders across the business

The ideal profile:

  • Strong employment law background
  • Experience in retail or similarly fast-paced environments highly desirable
  • Comfortable operating autonomously in a standalone role

Working pattern & flexibility:

  • Small legal team based in London
  • Team typically in the office 1 day per week (flexible up to 2)
  • Part-time arrangements can be accommodated
  • Ideally someone available mid–late February to allow for a short handover, but flexible for the right person.
