This is a highly business-facing role, providing commercial legal and regulatory support across advertising, product claims and consumer product categories. The lawyer will review claims packages, assess legal and regulatory risk, and translate this into clear, practical guidance for the business.

The team is looking for someone pragmatic and commercially minded - able to explain why a risk matters, how it could impact the business, and what a workable solution could look like.

Candidate Profile

The key requirement is strong commercial judgment and the ability to communicate legal risk clearly to the business. The client is open to strong commercial lawyers from relevant consumer-facing or regulated environments. Experience in advertising law, product claims or consumer regulatory matters would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review advertising, product claims and regulatory risk assessments.
  • Assess new product claims and downstream claims packages.
  • Provide practical, business-focused legal and regulatory advice.
  • Work closely with claims managers, sales teams and wider stakeholders.
  • Translate legal risk into clear business impact and solution-oriented guidance.
  • Support with new product categories and overflow work where required.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and provide confident pushback where needed.
Ideal Experience
  • In-house legal experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience advising on advertising, product claims, consumer regulatory or broader commercial legal matters.
