A globally recognised leader in the digital entertainment and interactive media space is seeking to expand its legal function. Operating across multiple international markets, the organisation develops and distributes highly engaging content to a vast global audience. With a strong portfolio of products and a rapidly evolving commercial landscape, the business is known for its innovation, scale, and entrepreneurial culture.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Acting as a trusted advisor to business units across global operations, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting commercial initiatives, advising on monetisation strategies, and safeguarding intellectual property. The position requires a hands-on approach, sound judgement, and the ability to operate effectively where information may be incomplete.

Key responsibilities:

  • Draft, negotiate, and finalise a wide range of commercial agreements across digital and technology-driven value chains, including partnerships, licensing, and monetisation arrangements.
  • Manage transactions end-to-end, from initial instruction through to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve contract templates and scalable legal playbooks.
  • Review and negotiate vendor, supplier, and partnership agreements.
  • Design and implement intellectual property protection strategies, including global trademark portfolio management.
  • Draft and negotiate IP licensing agreements.
  • Advise on IP infringement issues and support enforcement strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

About you:

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
  • Approximately 3–5 years’ PQE, with at least 2 years in-house experience (flexibility around level of experience).
  • Strong background in commercial contracting with proven experience negotiating complex agreements.
  • Solid understanding of intellectual property law, particularly trademarks and licensing.
  • Exposure to digital, mobile, gaming, or ad tech environments is advantageous.
