We’re supporting a global fintech in hiring a Lead Counsel to lead on regulatory and product matters across a diverse portfolio, including payments.

This is an ideal role for a lawyer who wants to deepen subject-matter expertise in payments while applying broader FS/regulatory skills in a fast-scaling international business.

The Role

  • Advise on regulated products across payments, e-money, and financial services.
  • Support licensing strategy, regulatory engagement, and market expansion.
  • Work with product and commercial teams on new product launches and cross-border regulatory projects.
  • Shape policy and ensure compliance with evolving UK/EU frameworks (payments, financial services, licensing).

About You

  • 8–15 PQE in financial services, banking, fintech, or capital markets regulation.
  • Exposure to payments is an absolute must and keen interest in the evolving landscape.
  • Strong commercial mindset, able to balance legal risk with business goals.
  • Track record of working autonomously on complex, multi-jurisdictional projects.
